Foods in 90 Minutes or Less: Chefs, Local Growers Find Niche in Ohio Agriculture
WOOSTER, Ohio -- Tom and Wendy Wiandt’s mushroom farm in Burbank is about an hour’s drive from the Great Lakes Brewing Co. restaurant in Cleveland. Vanessa and William Mills’ organic poultry and beef farm in Mt. Gilead is 30 miles away from Middle Ground Café in Gambier.
What do these four operations have in common? Food, of course. But not just any food. They are part of a growing trend in Ohio in which local farmers and chefs are coming together to offer hungry citizens a taste of what grows just 30, 60 or 90 minutes away from their favorite restaurant.

Media Tips (week of Nov. 27)
The Section of Communications and Technology with the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences has launched a new media service. OARDC, ATI Campuses To Be Annexed by the City of Wooster
WOOSTER, Ohio —The Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC), Ohio State University's Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI) and the City of Wooster have announced an agreement by which portions of the land where both state institutions are located will be annexed by the City of Wooster. The campuses are currently located in Wooster Township.
